Born in Oxford in 1975, Peter Bobby is a Bristol based artist and lecturer who studied MA Fine Art at Cardiff. His practice centres around specific constructions that allude to architectural and stylistic perfection. Presenting us with meticulously observed and constructed images that intentionally question the nature of the photographic image, in its broadest sense, as well as exploring spaces we choose to create, inhabit or encounter as we move through the contemporary city.

Bobby is senior lecturer in Photography and course leader of the BA(Hons) Photographic Art at the University of Wales, Newport. He co-founded ‘Format’ in 2007, a Bristol based art discussion group, and is a member of the eCPR (European Centre for Photographic Research).
