Emma Bennett was born in 1974 in Brecon, Wales. She completed her BA Fine Art at Central St Martins College and her MA in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art & Design. She lives and works in London.

Recent exhibitions include And, Afterwards, Charlie Smith, London, Kaliphilia, Vegas, London, East Wing X: Material Matters, Courtauld Institute, London, (all 2012); The Saatchi Gallery & Channel4’s New Sensations and The Future Can Wait, Victoria House, London, Polemically Small, Torrance Art Museum, Torrance, USA (both 2011); and New British Painting, Gallery Kalhama & Piippo Contemporary, Helsinki (2010). Her work is held in collections internationally including K & K Kollektion, Monaco; David Roberts, London and private collections in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, USA and the UK.
